Wooden Ships Comments on this Gaff cutter day boat

Designed and built by Elton Boatbuilding in Scotland in 1994 as a day boat with the possibility for weekend camping.

Designed with a centreplate giving her very shallow draft, allowing access to small creeks and rivers.  The inboard diesel gives reliable power and she can be used simply as a motor launch if required.

Taken into the shed after suffering rot damage on the starboard side midships due to some badly fitted bits of trim.  The repair required several new shifts of planking, one new sawn frame and a new coachroof coaming.  This has been completed to a very high standard and she now simply needs tidying up internally and commissioning.
