Wooden Ships comments on this clinker launch
Built in the 1960's by Stanley Goodwin and Son of Kidderminster, this boat has undergone a comprehensive restoration in the past year and is now ready to go and is looking for a new owner who will enjoy her this summer. She has the benefit of a cuddy to protect from the elements and two full length berths. She is the perfect boat for exploring rivers and lakes.
Professionally built Arctic Tern designed by Ian Oughtred. Planked in Scottish Larch all copper rivet fastened. Fitted with a bermudan sloop rig, all new in 2016, designed by Oughtred specifically for this boat on the request of the owner which makes her easier to handle alone. Good road trailer with new bearings in 2016. Very attractive and eye catching boat in very nice condition.
Built in Scotland in 1994, has been ashore for a while but minimal work required to get her launched. Huge area of deck space and cockpit, perfect for family days out in the sun. Small cabin with a heads and 2 berths to keep the children sheltered, ideal family summer boat. Inboard Yanmar diesel means she can simply be used as a large motor launch. Light enough to be towed behind a reasonable vehicle which will significantly lower running costs.
