Wooden Ships Comments on the Sennen Cove Lugger:
Built by the Falmouth Marine School in 2004, one of a number of these boats built by students under the supervision of professional shipwrights. The design was taken from traditional Cornish fishing boats which means she is a solid, stable and capable sea boat. They were fitted with engines from new which means they are very versatile. Although heavy and solid, the boat is light enough to carry on a trailer and tow behind a vehicle.
In present ownership she has been used for summer coastal passages and estuary exploration. She was in commission and being used last summer so is in very reasonable condition and only requiring a little painting and tidying up.
