Wooden Ships Comments on this Norman Dallimore bermudan cutter

Built in 1936 by W.M. King and Sons of Burnham on Crouch to a Norman Dallimore design, No. 198.

One of the prettiest and most exquisite yachts afloat in UK waters.

Due to having some very experienced and capable owners she has undergone some extensive refit work in recent years so that she is now in top class condition.  In the previous ownership a lot of structural work was carried out including all new keel bolts, replacement of the garboard planks and all hood end fastenings, repairs to some cracked frames, all new rigging and chain plates and a new engine.

In the present very experienced ownership her rig has been altered and put back to near original with all new sails making her very well balanced and incredibly easy to handle.  The interior has had a major refit including a new galley and chart desk, largely re-painted and a reconfiguration of the forepeak to give more useable space.  Most systems and electrics have all been upgraded and replaced in recent years.  The deck has also been re-payed and re-fastened with larger bronze screws.

In recent years every inch of the boat has been looked at and repaired or replaced if necessary so she is now a first class example of how a classic yacht should be.
