Wooden Ships Comments on this Baltic Trader Schooner

Built in Sweden between 1984 to 1986 along the lines of a traditional Swedish sailing cargo vessel of the late 1800’s, a so-called Baltic Trader Schooner.

This fine little ship was built with the intention of sailing as a charter vessel in the West Indies. She is fully certified as a Passenger Ship for 30 persons according to the requirements of the Swedish Transport Agency. Built according to the classification society “Det Norske Veritas” regulations A1A.

Accommodation altered from original to cater to mainly day sailing with a large saloon and galley below deck. Crew accommodation aft and a guest cabin forward for four.

Fully equipped with all safety equipment as per Swedish requirements for commercial trading as a Passenger Vessel in way of Life Saving, Fire Fighting, Radio Communications and Stability Book.  Traditional Dinghy hanging in davits aft.

A fine ship which is relatively new compared to many others of her type and of a nice size.  At only 53′ and with a schooner rig she is easily managed and still has a lot of space above and below decks.
