A classic Sparkman and Stephens sloop built by Moodys in 1964 to the highest standards. She represents the pinnacle of wooden yacht design and was show cased by Moodys at the 1965 London Boat Show. Given a thorough refit in 2015 in a professional yard, bottom end of the hull was rebuilt along with new wiring, rigging, upholstery, electronics, complete cosmetics and more. This is a true pedigree classic yacht of the highest caliber, fast around the race course but also easy to cruise with a small crew. A joy to look at and to sail.
The Danegeld was a very successful design from well know naval architect David Cheverton. The first boat of the class won nearly every race in her first season an was voted Yacht of the Year. This example was built in 1960 and raced successfully for the first 12 years. Current owners have cruised the Channel, North Sea and the Baltic in comfort. 4 berths including large double, full headroom throughout. This yacht was built in steel to the Alan Pape Ebbtide design and launched in 1994. She was built with a counter which extends her length and gives her much prettier lines. Very spacious yacht for her length with a generous beam, lots of headroom and large berths including a big double forward cabin, settee berths and a large quarter berth. Designed and built by Morgan Giles in 1958 as a fast cruiser racer that could be easily handled. Major rebuild between 2000 and 2004 by present professional shipwright owners including new deck, new engine and systems and new rig. Very smart yacht in excellent condition and ready to go sailing. 4 berths with good headroom and separate heads. Hot and cold running water. Easily handled with roller reefing and lines led back to the cockpit. A fine yacht in lovely condition, now relocated to Dartmouth.
An Alan Pape designed Gaff Cutter, strongly built in 1991 using modern methods. She has crossed the Atlantic and also circumnavigated the UK twice and is currently coded MCA Cat 2 for charter work. The Rambler is essentially a larger version of the Wanderer Class and was designed for Humphrey Barton after his trans-Atlantic in Vertue 35. Planked in teak and varnished from new, she has a very large cockpit which is great for sailing with a group. Spacious interior with enormous headroom and 4 good size berths, she feels like a much bigger boat down below. Well cared for and upgraded, she is a solid and very comfortable family cruising boat.
Built by Harry King of Pin Mill to a design by Alan Buchanan, typical of the time with short overhangs, elegant sheer and a cut away forefoot. In the present long and very experienced ownership she has sailed to the Azores and up to Shetland. Planked in Iroko and mahogany on oak frames with a teak over plywood deck. 4 berths with good headroom. Volvo Penta 28hp diesel installed in 2009. A well thought out and comfortable sailing yacht in good solid condition.
A very nice example of the Sovereign ketch which has had a very extensive refit in the last 15 years including new Beta Marine engine and systems, new rig and sails and a new deck. She has only been in the water for 2 months since completion of this work and has only 15 hours on the engine. 4 berths with a good size interior for her length, lots of deck space and a safe cockpit. The Viking is a well respected design from Alan Buchanan, ideal for the East coast with her shallower draft but capable of ocean cruising. This boat has had extensive refits in 2011 and again in 2015 when all recommendations from the 2014 survey were carried out.
