Wooden Ships Comments on this steel gaff ketch

Steel gaff ketch designed by Ernst Van der Laan and built by MOF boat builders, Cape Town, to Norske Veritas standard.  She was launched in 1997.  Originally intended as a boat to carry cargo, what is now her saloon had been designed as the hold with living accommodation aft.  This plan however change rapidly after launch and she was fitted out as a private yacht before leaving South Africa for South America.  The family spent many years cruising and living aboard between Brazil and New York with a lot of time in the Caribbean where she proved herself to be a very comfortable and safe family cruising yacht.

Bought by the present owners while in the Caribbean she was used as a cruising home in the tropics before being sailed back to the UK in 2012.

This is a very spacious, very strong and eminently capable yacht with graceful lines and a powerful rig, suitable for exploring anywhere in the world.  Her split ketch rig can be easily handled by a small crew and her deck layout gives good security and shelter, she is a magnificent yacht in very fine condition.  She is UK registered and VAT paid.

Very positive 2018 hull survey available.
