Wooden Ships Comments on this Danish Gaff Ketch

Built as a motor fishing vessel in 1925 by Soren Larsen of Denmark.  Typical of the Danish fishing vessels with a very full bilge, bluff bows, pronounced sheer and attractive elliptical counter stern.

Converted to a yacht in 1989, she has worked as a very successful charter yacht in the Solent and Bristol Channel in previous ownerships.  Bought by the present pioneering mental health charity as a base for their activities, she has been a superb and safe vessel on which to teach people how to sail and aid in the charities aims.

She had a major refit between 2013-2015 where the hull was totally re-caulked, some planks replaced and re-fastened as necessary.  Some of the electronic systems and wiring have been updated and replaced as well as a thorough overhaul of the interior to make her more practical and comfortable for cruising with guests.

Currently coded to Category 2 under the MCA, her commercial certification is fully up to date and she is working and sailing regularly around the coast.  A rare opportunity to purchase a really good traditional charter vessel in great condition and ready for work.
